Notes

[1]
The number range was used for several camera models. Back
[2]
Particulars are only described when necessary to distinguish between cameras from a single production run or in case of special interest. Not all Particulars are listed. Back
[3]
BL: Both lenses, VL: Viewfinder lens, TL: Taking lens, : Diameter, A: Push on (Ge: Aufsteckfilter), Bay: Rolleiflex Bayonet. On early cameras the filter diameter of the viewfinder lens is larger than the filter diameter of the taking lens. The viewing lens has a greater aperture and thus needs a larger filter. The bayonet mount was first introduced on the taking lens and as an outer bayonet only. Later as outer bayonets on both lenses. Eventually as inner and outer bayonets on both lenses. DBL is Distance Between taking Lens and viewing lens. This distance is made as small as possible to minimize the effect of parallax. On First, Second and Standard models the distance between the lenses is 37 mm. On the Automat with bayonet lenses the distance had to be widened to 42 mm to make mounting of the lens shade on the outer bayonet of the taking lens possible. There is not enough room when a filter is already mounted on viewing lens. Back
